Whether it was the homebuyer tax credit hangover or the overall softening of the real estate market, a new report makes it clear many potential Whatcom County homebuyers took the summer off. The total number of Whatcom County houses sold by real estate agents in the third quarter was down 33.2 % compared to the same period a year earlier, according to a quarterly report put together by Lylene Johnson of The Muljat Group.
